Always God
After Psalm 90
Most of what
I know is change.
Like those tall children
who once were cradled
in my arms.
What hope
is there for
a world ravaged
by time?
Always God
holds motion
in stillness,
wrapping loving arms
and welcoming hurried me
into perpetual
sanctuary.
What ever haunts you,
be it past, present, or future—
God is always
and always
is God.
And for you,
God's dwelling
stretches wide.
