Wonderful poem! I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you and your family. (Out of town for our daughter's wedding.) We will miss you! Godspeed!

Thanks Kerry! I’m sad we didn’t get to say goodbye too. Let’s stay in touch.

Yes! After a recent doctor's visit and some medication that kept me up at night, my mind was spiraling and worrying. I was praying and I heard God say: "Am I enough for you? Is my suffering enough for you? Is my blood enough for you?" And suddenly I was like "oh dang" lol. I didn't realize I wasn't allowing God to be my everything. The blood covers my suffering and I can rest in that. Like you (and Kempis) said, "everything is found on the cross" -- Really great line! Thanks for sharing this!

Hi Anna-Marie, sorry to hear about your medication—I hope that gets better, or is swapped for something that doesn’t keep you up at night. I can imagine how difficult that must be.

Thank you for your reflection and for noticing Thomas à Kempis’s line. The Imitation is filled with lines that stop me in my tracks. I highly recommend reading it.

Let’s collaborate sometime!

Thanks! Me too 😆

It definitely sounds worth the read and I hope to get my hands on a copy!

That would be great! I still feel new to Substack, and like I don't know a lot, but would be happy to do some sort of collab sometime 😊

Awesome! I’ll be in touch about possible scripture passages to reflect on and some dates.
