Hosea 11:1-11 & Luke 12:13-21.
In My Half-sight Inspired by Hosea 11:1-11 In my half-sight I see a troubled world, dreadfully turned inward— needing a serious time-out. Springs of greed, rebellion overflow in me. My heart burns with impatience. God sees children— learning to walk, trying to find balance. The Holy One bends low, with words of kindness, words of warning. And though we daily crash into our undoing, God will not forget us. God’s heart burns— always— with compassion. . . . Desiring More Inspired by Luke 12:13-21 Desiring more than daily bread, we want bursting barns and bank accounts, bigger than before. Safety. Security— on our own terms. But is that making a life or only making a living? Hear Wisdom's echo, Jesus says: that is vapor— breath on glass. Fortify your heart with what does not fade: set tables of mercy, open doors to rooms where compassion grows. Let God move into crowded spaces where the cluttered heart has heaped stuff.
