Jeremiah 23:1-6, Luke 23:33-43, & Colossians 1:11-20
The One After Jeremiah 23:1-6 Who is the One who gathers the scattered and homeless— and forgives like a parent bursting with grace? Who is the One Who promises security and belonging and homecoming after exile? Who is One? This is Yhwh— the One whose essence only knows light, truth, and wholeness. --- I Pray After Luke 23:33-43 I pray— in the midst of loud, mocking voices, to turn aside to the truth. I pray— my sympathy falls on those whose backs are against the wall. I pray— I look at the Crucified One and the evidence of the world, and me, turned to horror. I pray— I will follow Jesus and plant gardens of peace— small paradises— on renewal’s ground. --- Arresting Love (A Haiku) After Col. 1:11-20 All broken and worn Are pulled to union by Christ’s magnetic love
