Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7, 2nd Kings 5:1-3, 7-15c, and Luke 17:11-19
In Waiting Rooms After Jeremiah 29:1, 1-7 In this waiting place agency departs and powerlessness sets in. What to do? "Not yet." "No." "Try again later." Is all that's heard in these waiting rooms. I hear the prophet's instructions, not of boredom and endings— but of beginnings—gardens, romance, and new adventures— even in dreaded places. What might you plant and what might blossom in the big and small exiles of life? --- The Waters of Your Healing After 2nd Kings 5:1-3, 7-15c Dear sir or madam, you had everything and nothing you needed, which is nothing. Does it matter how or who heals you? The youngest, most unashamed hearts tell the truth—listen. Give it up. We know you think the world should turn by your command. Your condition must be frustrating. All that is required is a broken spirit. Come to the waters of your healing. God can do much with that— even create anew. --- Thank You After Luke 17:11-19 I never thought I'd think much of Jesus. I just thought he wasn't for me. But his presence healed the hidden fractures and my heart's leprosy. Was I one of ten? One among a million others? Sometimes there is nothing else to do but to say "Thank you"— and to do so with your life, and every moment after.
