Reach for Me
A Poem about reaching for Jesus and healing
To Larry, in appreciation of the handmade pen, from which this poem was written.
“If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well.”
Matthew 9:21
Reach for Me After Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26 Tell me what ails you— those hidden wounds upon your heart, those conditions incurable, the tension of holding it all together. Reach for me. I walk down tired roads. I sit at tables with image-bearing disasters. Touch the hem of my cloak— healing follows me everywhere. I look for very little and very much: weak bodies, broken spirits, and strong faith.
