The River Bed
After God's lovingkindness
there's a worn path
within forged by years
of presence and flow.
much like the ancient
stream and the beds of rivers—
in stone, carved.
a bed has been made
and sometimes unmade
and made again,
every time deeper.
it also widens
as waters rise
and it hurts as more stone
is shaped and shifted
by the Current's gentle
persistence, but always
for good and always not
understood.
the love of God;
God's love;
love that God.Discussion about this post
